Twin Studies Seeking Participants

  • DO YOU AND YOUR SISTER HAVE NON-IDENTICAL TWINS?
A major Australian medical research centre is looking for sisters who have given birth to non-identical twins (without the assistance of hormone or invitro-fertilisation treatment). The purpose of the research is to find the gene(s) responsible for the tendency to conceive non-identical twins, which will lead to a better understanding of the mechanisms of female fertility and infertility.
All requirements of this Australia-wide study can be met by telephone and mail at no cost to the participant. For further information please ring our free call number 1800 257 179 or contact the Project Co-ordinator Kerry King on (07) 3362 0167 or email: kerryK@qimr.edu.au
  • STUDY OF ADULT TWINS WHO ARE PARENTS.
I am interested in understanding relationships in families when the parents are identical or fraternal twins, and one or both twins have children. This study is ongoing in the Psychology Department (Twin Studies Center) at California State University, Fullerton. To access the survey (which takes 15-20 minutes to complete), please go to http://psych.fullerton.edu/nsegal/twinparent/
Questions may be directed to Dr. Nancy L. Segal, 714-278-2568, nsegal@fullerton.edu
